"you don't want to fall from lonesome hours at the bar..."- Terminal

So, yeah.... for some very odd reason, this place was beckoning me to come and post another blog, and i just couldn't refuse.  The fact of the matter is, though, that I don't really have anything to say.   Since my last update, things have sort of gone downhill.  Remember that Kelsey girl I spoke oh so highly of... well we went out for about a month... then she dumped me.  She just saw me as...ready...A FRIEND!  That glorious little limbo between aquintance and boyfriend, the one that I can never seem to escape the death grip of.  Anyway, I'm basically over that one now, and I'm trying to move on, but alas I am back to square one with the same Kasson girls and the RCTC girls aren't a whole lot better.  Speaking of RCTC, it is going very well.  Right now I'm taking General Psychology, Intro. to Sociology, Photography 1, Beginning Guitar, and Social Dance... yeah, that's right, I'm learning to ballroom dance- I'm terrible, but I'm trying.  It's a pretty easy semester, and it is coming to an end very soon- May 10!  I'm insanely stoked to be out of school before pretty much everyone else I know!

I was going to post all of the bands that I've been listening to since the last time I posted, but then I'd be typing for days, so I guess I'll just make a quick list of the most essential bands that you should be listening to:

-The Fold

-The Lonely Hearts

-Terminal

-Sullivan

-Cartel

-This Day & Age

-Long-View

-We Are Scientists

-Youth Group

-The Hush Sound

-Syd Matters

-mewithoutyou

-Mainstay

-The Subways

-Out of Time

-Augustana

-Paramore

-Action Action

-The Honorary Title

-Rogue Wave

-Eager Seas

-Far-Less

-and last, but not even close to least- NADA SURF!! If you're not listening to The Weight Is A Gift, then you aren't listening to music!  It's the best realese I've heard in a long, long while... so give it a listen.

How about any amazing upcoming concerts?  Yes, of course I have some killer shows that I will be attending- the 3 biggest ones will be Train on April 12, Sanctus Real/ The Afters/ Mainstay on April 14 (and 18), and Switchfoot/ Lovedrug on Apr. 23!! I'm still debating on whether or not I'm gonna go to the Tooth & Nail tour, because The Fold isn't going to be there, and that's the only band that i really want to see... so i don't know.

Ha!  well, anyway, that's about all I've got in me right now, plus I rented The Squid and The Whale tonight and I wanna watch that... and I have some guitar to practice for tomorrow.  It's gonna be a good night... later...

"my name is hope, luck just ran out..."- Carbon Leaf
WOW!  So, I really haven't updated this thing in a long while!  Yeah, so, Myspace beats the crap outta this place, but I figured I'd come back and update for those of you that haven't switched over to where the party's at.  Actually, you know what, there really isn't much to update!  RCTC is going great... I think I got something going with this girl in my political Science class- Kelsey.  A couple of you have already met her.  We haven't really started a concrete relationship, but we're developing something good- beyond the friends level.  Other than that- I got Everyday Sunday coming up this Friday (i'm going with Kelsey).  I have a bunch of papers due and a bunch of finals to get ready for.  My paper for Reading/Writing is an arguementative paper on how sex is infiltrating the minds of teenagers, and how nobody is taking the responsibility to tell people about how sex is really a very sacred act.  I've got some work to do on that one still- and it's due WED!! AHH!  My next paper is on how the news stations are becoming more political pundits than actual news stations.  That's for Poli. Sci.  That should be pretty easy, plus i've got some time to get it finished.  I'm honestly a little nervous, but I know I can get them done and do well on them!  Next semester i get to finish my Child Development II class Independent Study, so I will no longer have to go to K-M.  My next semester classes are Beginning Guitar, Intro. to Sociology, General Psychology, Social Dance, and Photography.  It's gonna be a pretty busy schedule, but it should be pretty easy.  Well, I gotta finish getting sources for my paper.  Check out a couple great artists I've stumbled upon in the recent days.  One is Jeff Austin Black and the other is James Blunt.  They both have Myspace, and I'm sure you could probably find them on Purevolume.  Check 'em out if you got the time.  You won't regret it.  later...

"this is the politics of seeing you dance with him..."- Emery

Yeah, so, lately, i'm not feeling really deep like i used to.  I was just thinking about that.  I used to have something to say about most everything, and a lot of times I would say something deep or that would make people actually think about things, but as of late I haven't had that going on.  But, I was thinking about it, and maybe it's a good thing, because I used to be really depressed and have this feeling of being closed off from everyone.  Maybe now that I feel more open to people, I'm not as set on figuring everything out and trying to put meaning to each little event or action.  I kinda like it- just letting life happen and not bother to analyse everything about it.  I mean, don't get me wrong, it's fun to talk about the mysteries of the world and God and all things in between, but just sort of mindlessly living is pretty fun, too.  I mean just going to Death Cab on monday and not craing whether or not I was indie enough or whether or not I'd fit in enough, but just going because I like Death Cab.  I don't know, I was just thinking about this today, I haven't really formed full and coherent thoughts on the subject

I was just listening to this song by Emery- it's really good, it's truly what the Christian message is about- it's saying how Christian's can't be all high and mighty because we're really all just in the same boat- we're all sinners, no matter where we are in our walk with Christ.  Very humbling...

Emery- Listening to Freddy Mercury:

Every once in a while I think I'm lying.
Take it to the bank, I believe every word I say.
(This just isn't how, this just isn't how)
Then again, this is when you start your prying.
But there's a thought it could be true.
But this just isn't how I imagined it would be.
With these random people just asking the most personal things.
And to think that somehow I could always come clean.
And you shake your head just like you know what I mean.

You're a Christian tell the sinner
Find repentance it's your last chance.
You believer, Where's your patience?
Answer questions, Put on faces.
What about God? For you and for me.
All have fallen short.

(To see if it's right or wrong to listen to this song.
I don't want you to.
To see if you're okay with all the words I say.
It can't be this way.)

Somehow someone is more equal than others.
Depending on the words we choose to say.
A glance at her too long tonight.
But everything I am saying is right in your ears.
We are all the sisters and the brothers.
Until we find we don't believe the same.

Like...
Gary is getting drunk to forget Sarah.
Sarah is stealing money from her parents.
Aaron is lying straight to Jon.
About Megan and the things that went on.
Jessica is a gossip. Laura is a slut.
Derrick hits Bridget and Ben deals drugs.
Seth spends all his money gambling.
Joey stopped praying. It is all the same thing.
We are all the same people.
With sinning hearts that make us equal.
Here is my hand, not words said desperately.
It is not our job to MAKE anyone believe

"it's the end of the world as we know it..."- R.E.M.

Okay, it's official- the apocalypse is coming soon.  The rapture will come at anytime and Christ will swoop down and bring us to His holy kingdom.  How do I know that the world is coming to an end?  Well, just click on this link: http://www.rottentomatoes.com/news/comments/?entryid=246060.  It is most certainly the work of the anti-Christ, and a sign that Satan is coming to take rule on earth!  Be prepared!

"Is this the new year or just another desperation..."- Switchfoot
I am going to a Project 86/Spoken/Number One Gun/Mourning September/The Fold show on Oct. 6 (thurs.) and need some people to go. It's a $12 show, which is very incredibly not bad for 5 bands!! It's at Club 3 Degrees. and yeah, just talk to me if you wanna go, because it would be extremely sweet if you did.
